I Want THAT House!

For all you homeowners out there, I bow down to your patience!
We are in the process of buying our first house, and let me tell anyone out there, HGTV is awesome with their home/house hunting & buying shows like House Hunters, Property Virgins and My First Place...BUT.....
they do not prepare you for what it is REALLY like! lol
I have not slept well, eaten a decent meal, or been able to relax!
My face broke out, and I look like a teenager! lol
In all that, my current home is a wreck and walls are bare. I have movers to move our things, but walls need to be empty before they pack , and we need to sort through our stuff.
When did we get ALL THIS STUFF?!?!
Didn't we just get rid of stuff?
This card below looks almost exactly like a few areas of my home!

(Minus the green plant....my one plant is half brown and will not be making the 12 hour trip south to San Antonio! And, the box in the chair would be filled with stamp sets! lol )

Dual purpose time.....Paint swatches!!

Ya know, moving is the best time to rediscover things you posess. Items you put away, hid, lost, or just never used. You almost get giddy when you find these items again, realizing why you wanted them in the first place!

While starting to pack up my stamping things, I came across some paint swatches I have been hoarding...AKA...totally forgot about them.

I got excited, first thinking "These would be awesome on my "We've Moved" cards!" Of course, this is the reason I had them in the first place! To use with my papercrafting projects! A true papercrafter's thinking! lol

Then my second thought was....."OH WOW! I can actually PAINT the rooms in my NEW HOUSE!!!"

How cool is this gonna be?!?!?

I have never lived in a home, (besides my parents home), where I could paint the walls! I am seeing colors!

I have been watching HGTV for years, but only in recent months been truly paying attention to paint, design and layout of homes. One would think that someone with an ounce of cardmaking ability like myself would be able to pick paint colors, curtains and rugs.....HECK NO! LOL
I can already tell that colors will be THE BIGGEST fight between the five of us.
My 16 year old wants a bedroom with two shades of purple, but the inside of her closet is to be two shades of chartreause green.
My 13 year old son wants the colors of the Boston Red Sox. Red walls. Uh Huh.
The 9 year old wants to follow his older brother, but get the colors of the New England Patriots. Red, white and blue. Ok, fine. But, he wants stripes with SILVER trim.
Keep in mind, we are moving to TEXAS. I just will not allow any Astros or Cowboys fans in my boys bedrooms. ;)
Anybody have Deserving Design Vern Yip's phone number? LOL

San Antonio

My family and I just got back from a week of house hunting in San Antonio.
All I can say is WOW!
What a huge, beautiful, hot, fast paced (AKA crazy drivers! lol), easy to get lost in city!
We did find a home! YAY! Now is the fun part...wait for the whole process leading up to closing. I may not have any fingernails or hair left after this....

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who reads my blog on a regular basis. It means a lot to me when people look forward to what I babble about here!
Also, to let everyone know that any new projects will not be posted for some time. I do have a few more "We've Moved" cards to show here, but I have started to pack my stuff, and I will not be stamping or creating anything else for awhile.
So, for now....HUGS!!!
Oh, and be looking forward to the new TAC catalog due out the end of the week!
I know I am!!
