Dual purpose time.....Paint swatches!!

Ya know, moving is the best time to rediscover things you posess. Items you put away, hid, lost, or just never used. You almost get giddy when you find these items again, realizing why you wanted them in the first place!

While starting to pack up my stamping things, I came across some paint swatches I have been hoarding...AKA...totally forgot about them.

I got excited, first thinking "These would be awesome on my "We've Moved" cards!" Of course, this is the reason I had them in the first place! To use with my papercrafting projects! A true papercrafter's thinking! lol

Then my second thought was....."OH WOW! I can actually PAINT the rooms in my NEW HOUSE!!!"

How cool is this gonna be?!?!?

I have never lived in a home, (besides my parents home), where I could paint the walls! I am seeing colors!

I have been watching HGTV for years, but only in recent months been truly paying attention to paint, design and layout of homes. One would think that someone with an ounce of cardmaking ability like myself would be able to pick paint colors, curtains and rugs.....HECK NO! LOL
I can already tell that colors will be THE BIGGEST fight between the five of us.
My 16 year old wants a bedroom with two shades of purple, but the inside of her closet is to be two shades of chartreause green.
My 13 year old son wants the colors of the Boston Red Sox. Red walls. Uh Huh.
The 9 year old wants to follow his older brother, but get the colors of the New England Patriots. Red, white and blue. Ok, fine. But, he wants stripes with SILVER trim.
Keep in mind, we are moving to TEXAS. I just will not allow any Astros or Cowboys fans in my boys bedrooms. ;)
Anybody have Deserving Design Vern Yip's phone number? LOL

I'm sorry that is just too funny that the boys want favorite team colors, of course ones that are not in the area you are moving to as well. I hope that these are teams they have loved for a while and not recent new favorites!

Your cards are awesome! What a great idea to use the paint swatches. My boys chose the colors of their rooms too. One chose the New York Giants colors and the other just wanted green. Not any green, but green you can see from the road! Good luck with your move!
